The first angelfestival took place on Wednesday, 29 November 2000. The concert started with a word of welcome from the Coordinator, Brian Sutton followed by reading and prayer by John Pretorius. The first item was a piano and flute arrangement of Ave Verum Corpus by WA Mozart performed by Carina Krogh and Brian Sutton  . Piet van Vuuren Choir delivered their program followed by members of the Rand Afrikaans University Choir joining in the festivities. Lientjie van der Bergh sang a solo followed by Friedel Wolff peforming a solo on the Recorder. St. Ursula High School Choir delivered a breathtaking peformance and had the audience begging for more. Jan Swanepoel peformed a trumpet solo accompanied by Carina Krogh on the piano. The Choir of Bernard Isaacs Primary under the direction of Esmé le Pere ended the program beautifully. The concert ended with a Mass Choir with everybody joining in sining Silent Night. Anet du Preez thanked everybody for their lovely performances and everbody stayed behind for tee, coffee and refreshments
